Team Information
By Coach Jonathan Lott

The Hawaii High School Cross Country season begins at the end of August and continues until the end of October. Official team practices start on the first day of school. For those who want to excel in the sport they should be training year round in one form or another.

Cross country races are 3 miles long and are held all over the island. Cross country enables an athlete to get in peak shape and is also a lot of fun!!! Fun team events at FHS this past year included hosting our own meet, doing Niketown fun runs, cleaning up litter/recycling in the community and watching movies/eating pizza as a team.

Cross country is a no-cut sport and is great for any body type - i.e., you don't need to be tall, short, thin or muscular. Everyone can find success!

For more information about the FHS cross country team please contact Coach Jonathan Lott via email. Coach Lott has been head coach at Farrington for two seasons beginning in 2007 and has over 10+ years experience coaching cross country and track teams in Hawaii. All are encouraged to join!!
