The Farrington Health Academy is a three-year program aimed at preparing students for post-secondary studies in a career in Health Services. Through field trips, class projects, mentoring, and work study, students are able to gain the knowledge and understanding needed to determine their career interests. Students in the program have the opportunity to join Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and participate in their community service activities as well as their conferences.

Some careers that students gain exposure to include: nurse aides, registered nurse, physical and occupational therapists, medical assistants, physicians, dentists, dental assistants, radiologists, and veterinarians. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to: take vital signs, height and weight, do seated massage, and become certified in CPR and First Aid. They will also have had the opportunity to go to a mock interview, participate in work-study, where they leave campus during class and gain experience in a career of interest, do research and complete a senior project.

Upon graduation, students will have completed a personal statement and college application, enabling them to be accepted at a two or four year college, or find entry-level work in the health care field.
